Yeah, I did play the game, but Link's Awakening still occurs after A Link to the Past. I found the booklet, but the first page of the English Story section is missing, but on the second page of describing the story, it mentions how Link believes Marin is Princess Zelda after he 'wakes up'. Though, the first time he met Zelda was in A Link to the Past... :/

And Link is confirmed NOT to be Zelda's brother in LttP, despite popular believe. There was a poor translation in the SNES version, when Link's uncle says, "Zelda is your..." most people assumed he was about to say sister, though it was intended that Zelda was supposed to be his destiny. Not necessarily 'romantic destiny', but more likely it was his destiny to meet her so he would save Hyrule from certain doom.

However, the French version is still intact;

" Bien que vous ayez accompli la prophétie hyrulienne du légendaire héros et détruit lÃ*ffreux tyran Ganon, le pays d`Hyrule nÃ* joui que dùne paix précaire. "Qui salt quelles menaces peuvant surgir des cendres de Ganon?" se demandait le peuple inquiet tout en fronçant les sourcils et en houchant la tête. ... "

Poorly translates to something about Link fulfulling the Hylian prophecy and defeating Ganon. And something about how the towns people worrying about Ganon's ashes while furrowing their eyebrows with worry. XDD

Which points to LA occuring after LttP. Plus LttP probably isn't the first to occur, because of the whole prophesy of Ganon and whatnot... :/

Another thing that may be important to keep in mind while trying to figure out the timeline in the vernacular. One example being the whole "Hylian / Hyrulean" difference. Perhaps the games which occur after the great flood of Hyrule refer to 'Hyrulean' while before the flood refers to 'Hylian'. After all, it makes a little sence, though I'm not saying it's right.

Like, the 'Triumph Forks'. Over time, the pronounciation changed through many generations from 'Triforce' to 'Triumph Forks'. 'Hylian' could easily have been changed to 'Hyrulean', seeing as the people of the islands in Wind Waker did know something somewhat of Hyrule. It would make more sence to them to say 'Hyrulean' rather than 'Hylian', because why would things be refered to as 'Hylian'? It wouldn't make much sense to them, because, yeah, 'Hyrulean' would make more sense to a person than 'Hylian' would if they hadn't any idea of where the term 'Hylian' came from.

(( I'm not quite sure how to explain it, but I hope you get it. XDD If not, I can try again. ))

And I don't think it's just a mistake that occured in Japanese translation to English. I could be wrong, but wasn't the term 'Hylian' used in Twilight Princess? I could be wrong. I haven't played it since I'd beaten the game so... XDD;;

Which would mean the Oracle / Mysterious Seed Saga would have occured after the flood, if there is any truth to this speculation, because they had used the term 'Hyrulean'. WW isn't the only game to use it... XDD;;;

But it's all just speculation, and nothing more, and pro'lly is all wrong, but it seems to be worth mentioning. There had to be SOME reason to switch from 'Hylian' to 'Hyrulean' throught games... XDD Do you have any ideas for it, or do you deem it as being unimportant?
