I hate PETA. I'm all for the better treatment of animals but PETA takes it too far.
PETA is an extremist organization bent on propagandizing small children from an early age into thinking that eating meat is an abomination to their human nature.

    What do you think?

I agree, PETA takes things too far. I'm all for the SPCA, though--I'm thinking about becoming a member.

You know, despite it's constant moralizing about the unethical treatment of animals by farmers, grocers, and people everywhere, PETA gives more than half of the annual salary they rake in to defend arsonists, hecklers, and other ciminals who take it too far out on the streets.

It's like my cousin says; People Enjoy Tasty Animals. Maybe that's why I'm going hunting deer next month. ^vv^ Seriously, I'm against abuse of animals and pets and all, donating time at the loacl animal shelter, but if it weren't for hunters, the deer and other game would populate to the point where they'd stave out of scarcity of food from the rest of them eating it.

I'd rather have something good to eat on the table that is good for me to eat, than to know that that a young deer may be just over the hill slowly dying with ribbed skin because it went hungry. It's not like I shoot yearlings or fawns. Although that's how PETA likes to portray hunters. Yet they fail to acknowledge that roughly 60-80% (varying from year to year) of the funding state and national parks receive comes from the purchasing of fishing and hunting licenses.

Thank you, and also in 2002 PETA spent nearly 10k on a giant walk-in freezer. In 2007 during a criminal trial a PETA manager confirmed the obvious. It was used to store the dead bodies of PETA's victims.

Also, here's a lovely quote from Ingrid Newkirk herself.

Yeah, good way to put chickens on level with humans.

Am sorry, but am a person of God and the bible states that man has control over all the animals.

And wtf, we're leveled with chickens? XD That's lame.

I like the idea of PETA but I don't like extremist. I am a vegan and all, but I really don't see how walking around naked saves animals

@ people who throw red paint on people with fur coats:

If you throw paint on a sable/lynx fur coat, and say we're killing poor animals as a waste, you are an official f***cking idiot. Great, it's dead. Let's make sure it died in vain. And you know what assholes? If someone is rich enough to afford one anyway, they'll just get pissed and buy another one. Do you know what that means? That's right, the death of more animals.

    *high five* Amen to that.

Like I said, I'm all for helping out abandoned cats and dogs and stuff. You know, animals that are supposed to be pets. I'm all for helping prevent animals from going extinct. But when it comes to LEGAL hunting and all that, and eating chickens and cows and turkeys and pigs and other tasty animals, PETA can stuff it.
