Code Geass! You just can't get any better than that!
(Except for maybe DGM & FMA, all three are at a tie for my all time favorite)

    Long live Lelouch! (:

Hm. Seeing as how I haven't finished CG yet, I don't really have an opinion of which is more epic--I can definitely see how people could think CG has an edge, though, from what I've seen. I really love DN, though, and I actually thought the ending was pretty good. I thought Light going all crazy and stuff was pretty good and accurate. I mean, really, are you going to stay sane after killing so many people, especially when you're found out? Those who had power, but see it being taken away from them so thoroughly are bound to become a little desperate. Anyway. I'm off to go watch some CG.

Considering the impact Code Geass's main char made for the world I'll have to say Code Geass.

For me, I felt Deathnote's purpose went bye bye once L was gone. Light went straight from making a better world to nurturing his oversized ego about winning with L and all other people who were against his ideals of Justice. Not to mention, from the start, he never seemed to have cared what other people's philosophical ideals of justice were.

Lelouch on the other hand managed to recreate the world into something more united and peaceful. He relieved the people's suffering and hey, how many times do you see a teenager take over the world's largest superpower in 2 years flat? Putting that aside, the scene in episodes 25 of R2 and of him commanding the Britannian court to acknowledge him was "imba", more epic than anything I saw in Deathnote.

reminder: This is based on my own opinion of the two.

    Code Geass v Death Note?

Code Geass--hands down. The plot is so engaging and the ending is simply epic in itself.

Of course it HAS to be Code Geass. I liked Death note too, I was so faszinated by it that I watched DN in a bit then more day. (I had a lot of freetime as a child *still is a child*)
Well but DNs ending was really just wtf.... but in a bad way.
While CG ending was WTF WHY DID THIS HAPPEN?! of course in a good way. I remember how much I cried at the ending. It was just so epic, I don't know what could get more epic! (maybe DGM that would be so wow!)
Wings take the shape of people's feelings.
Even if one were to lose everything, it dosen't all disappear at once.
But that also means that, just like the light of a candle burning to the very end,
it only flickers for a brief moment in time.

I still have not watched Death Note so i can''t really answer, But DAMN Code Geass was AWESOOMEEE! I Was stearing at the screen several minutes after the end, and replayed it like 3 times, just to be sure what the * happened. And i''m still not so sure...
Ahh Epic Anime indeed. Only the big robots part, was the one thing i did not like, but i stopped paying attencion to it, after the 3th episode.
