Yesterday read that there is going to be a third season of Natsume Yuujinchou. (Would post the link... but it's a german source, so you still want it?)
So I wondered whether you know it? I enjoyed the the first two seasons. I kinda like supernatural stuff, so I guess it's natural for me to like this. Friendship is also a big topic in this anime.
It's about a boy who can see yokai and was of course discriminated as a child. He lost his parents and went from realitive to realitive and settled down in the hometown of his grandma. [Who was also able to see Yoaki, they look quite alike]
His grandma had a book, the book of friends (Yuujin(friend) so I guess chou means book, well at least I'm sure yuujin means friend) and it the names of varios yokai where written in there, he meets a yokai who was sealed ( he broke that seal unintentionaly) and got attacked from yokai who wanted their names back. Apparently if someone got the name og the yokai, these yokai will have so serve the person whom the book belongs to. that's why many yokai want that book, or just want their names back. He then decides with the help of that yokai he let free to give the names back.
This is what I remember about the beginning. He meets friends, human and yokai, and he lives with a nice couple
