DGM pairings; Who makes the best couple?

This is just to discuss favorite couples that may or may not happen in D.Gray Man. I don't want people to flame others, because that's not very nice. Also, if you mention a couple, I would like a reasonable reason for them. Think about how they can benefit each other, although you can mention some looks. Also, I'm alright with yaoi/yuri pairings, as long as you give a good reason.

But have fun too!

I believe that Kanda and Lenalee make a nice couple, for several reasons. For starters, they have a history together, or at least that is what I assume. I don't know entirely what kind of history, but there is definitely one, and hopefully it will be revealed later on.

The second reason is that they both could benefit from the other. Kanda is a person who doesn't like to interact with others, but behind that cold sarcastic exterior is a hope to protect. I believe he just needs that 1 person (and no, I'm not referring to 'that person') to allow him to open up. Lenalee could be a good choice, since she is often truly worried about her friends, and she just seems like that type that Kanda could open up to. He's never rude to her in any of the scenes that I remember the two of them speaking to each other, so perhaps Kanda does have some feelings? Another benefit could be in battle. Lenalee usually gets upset when Allen puts all the burden on himself (hence that whole slapping incident during the Rewinding Town), and I think she wants to prove herself on the field. Kanda often doesn't care about others in battle, believing that they can fight on their own. However, he has shown times when he would jump between an enemy's attack and one of his comrades. And he's a strong fighter too, who could perhaps help Lenalee instead of holding her back like Allen does.

Also I think they just look good together. I see the AllenXLenalee ones, and I think "they don't really look couple material." Maybe it's because Lenalee's older, and I usually tend to like the 'girl with older guy' pairings. I think those two could be good, good friends, but not a couple. Then LaviXLenalee is also good, but I prefer Kanda over Lavi (no offence to those Lavi fans, I think he's awesome too). Maybe it's their hair (long, black (or green & blue), despite Lenalee's new look)...But it could be their Asian backgrounds too. I'm not entirely sure of how to explain, but when I see the two of them together, it just clicks perfectly. I'm really hoping to see these two together more in the series.

Plus, a kiss scene might be pretty sexy.

It could work you know, the two of them could be together alone, and maybe it could be a serious love (but a sad love too, and that they actually did like each other but never really showed it). Then maybe Kanda has to leave somewhere (to find 'that person'), and his lotus flower has lost more petals, and Lenalee could be very saddened. Then they could kiss, maybe Komui will find out...I could totally see it.

But yeah, that's just me. I can't wait to hear any other couplings, or maybe someone agrees with me and want to add some input. Remember, you can match any two together, as long as you give a good reason!

Yay finally someone else created a thread xD but for me it is AllenXLenalee not just because it is cannon or whatever but they have shared alot of great moments and have been through many things together it was so sad when Lenalee thought Allen died I did shed some tears lol ..

Her feeling for Allen seem strong I am just worried about Allen not taking control of the situation since that seems to be the last thing on his mind when Lenalee was mad at him he shouldn't have bowed his head he should have given her a damn hug....he knows nothing

Yeah, I enjoy Allen x Lenalee. They have been through a lot with eachother and they have also had a lot of physical contact not to be perverted. It is true though. They understand eachother completely. He always stuck out everything for Lenalee. whenever Allen gets hurt she always calls for him. Vice Versa. Allen always consoles her when she cries and Allen has seemed to grow up since he ended up in the Asia branch. He seemed to embrace the fact that Lenalee was around. He never really did get shy touching Lenalee the way he did even though by nature you would expect Allen to. They both are innocent and they both have similar emotions towards their friends.
They also seem to have a connection not as in relationship. It actually strengthens their chances to become lovers but, I see a connection in the Heart. This may be kind of outdated but it will be brought back up sometime. The seem to have a connection that way too.
The both have been through a lot of obstacles with eachother but by teamwork, they seemed to surpass every obstacle with flying colors. For example when thay fought the Level 4, the almost annihilated the akuma. they have a good sense of teamwork.
These are the many reasons why I support Allen and Lenalee being a couple. Also, Allen's age isn't confirmed so he can still be older than Lenalee.

An Allen+Lenalee pairing seems much more palusible. Within the Anime, as I stated in the AllenXLenalee FC, there are a lot of small hints and possible foreshadowing that lean towards an Allen+Lenalle matchup. They are similar in a lot of ways, plus, Allen is the type to fight alone and carry the weight of the world on his own shoulders, while Lenalee fights with her friends. It tiles in with the "opposites attract" rule. Kanda comes from too dark and competetive of a backdrop to be considered a candidate for for a potential significant other to Lenalee.

It's around 15 or 16, and Lenalee can't be much older if she is any older.

Hmm, the thoguht of Kanda in a relationship seems....too OOC to happen. To be honest, I don't like the thought either. I only like Yullen xD but that is fanfiction... so that's an entire different story...

I find it hard to imagine Lavi in a relationship, seeing as he's going to be a Bookman.

Anyway, I kinda like the Rhode/Allen pairing, and I've got the feeling we'll see more of that ^^
I also like the Allen/Lenalee pairing, though, I'm pretty positive it won't happen. They like each other, that's obvious, but I don't think they'll ever get together. Sad, but true T-T

Lol, I like the Idea of a Rhode/Allen pairing too.
There's too much of a conflict of interests though.

I like AllenXLenalee though.. It's just my own opinion but I think Lenalee cares more for Allen than the others.. Like when Allen was presumed dead, she was very upset.. And when she was fighting Eshi too, she thought of Komui and Allen before she thought of the others. Not to mention that Allen somehow managed to see her when she was sinking into the sea and when Allen was fighting in the lab from the invasion, she saw him too, right? (Or is that just in the anime...? I forgot.)

I really cannot stand the thought of Kanda with Lenalee. That is something that just ticks me off.

The pairing I do support is Lavi and Lenalee. I also don't like Allen with Lenalee. They seem too much like brother and sister than lovers.
