D.Gray-Man Roleplay

Okay, so this isn't an actual roleplay, or a link to one or anything like that. It's merely a question, since I can't exactly ask the people I roleplay with since it would ruin the game for them.

I'm setting up a D.Gray-Man game to run for a group of friends at home. Actual table-top roleplaying with dice, character sheets, the whole works. I'm just not sure how exactly I could make this a good game for them, since one of them has been reading it as long as i have and the others are either pretty new or oblivious.

I was thinking of having a modern version of the Black Order, as in, set in our time right now, and having them transported back to the current D.Gray-Man era through the Ark. But that is as far as I got. If anyone has any ideas, or just wants to give an opinion, I'd be grateful for the help.

I'm hoping on getting this roleplay published if it's any good, and if Hoshino actually wants something of the sort to happen. So any input is completely appreciated and will be credited.

And if theres a modern day Black Order, then that would mean that the Earl is still around, wouldnt it? Making the very existence of a modern day Order a sign that Allen really ISNT the desroyer of time and/or failed in his mission to defeat the Earl. Unless of course, these future exorcists know this and are coming back to make sure that the past changes and the Earl is defeated. But would the Ark still even be around if Allen fails? Actually, will ANYTHING still be around if Allen fails? Is the possibility of the Black Order being able to continue two hundred years after the fact even a possibility? Or will the Earl just take over everything after Allens gone? And then of course, even without this, we have the whole 'screwing with the space time continuum' thing, and the alternate realities that could be created from changing such a defining moment in history...

It's an interesting idea, but its got a few holes in it. On a brighter note, its amazing that you actually got me to think this deep into it this early in the morning.

Roleplay is basically where you take on another persona and act it out, either online or with a group of friends.

I was thinking along the lines of having it that Allen was actually killed by Tyki or Road, but the Exorcists are just barely managing to hold off the Earl without him. The Space-Time Continuum is just another aspect to add into it for the enjoyment of the players. It could also take the 200 years to find the rest of the pieces of Innoncence.

Ah, I see. And what about the Ark? Will it still be usable if Allen is out of the picture? And yes, considering that it took as long as it did to find the Innocence they already had, it IS plausible that it could take a couple hundred years to find the rest of it. But would the other exorcists be able to hold him off that long? The Earl could easily destroy them in that amount of time-the attack on the Order supports that.

Purple is an amazing colour ^_^

And I decided last night to definately have the time-travel aspect. It's going to work out that Allen is killed, and the ark goes offline indefinately. But they keep the Ark at HQ as a tribute to Allen. Then in the modern time, due to timelines changing all the time and all that, an incident occurs with the Ark in the past which then pulls the modern Exorcists through to not long before Allen's death.

The Earl hasn't so much destroyed the Order in my version though, since the Heart still hasn't been found. He is waiting for the Order to find it for him, and playing it all as a game.
