Chapter 214 Discussions and Chapter 215 Predictions

It's out! ...Well, it's been out for a few days now... But the scans are out! XD The translation is all that's left~! This chapter is... Amazing... Though, that's most likely just due to my love of Neah. Okay... The rest is going to be in a spoiler text because there is just SOO much stuff to talk about!!!! 8D

214th Night. Searching A.W. - Awakening


Mother (M: "What is the wind saying?"
Nea (N: "What are you talking about?"
M: "It looked like you were talking to it."
M: "Hello 'Cornelia'." She greets a tree.
M: "Where's Cyrus? Wasn't he with you?"
N: "Uncle is where that strangely colored smoke is coming from. Hey, mother, is it true that weirdo is now the head of the Campbell family?"
M: "Weirdness runs in the family~~ Look at you! You were talking to the wind!"
N: "...."
M: "What a nice breeze..."
N: (Eyes...) (Dark circles under them...) "Always look after him." (T/N: can be either "him" or "her")
N: "Mother."
M: "Ye---s?"
N: "Will Mana never become an adult? Manet and the others said so."
N: "They said Mana won't wake up... Today a month has passed since then... "Mana is..."


"Nea"
Mana was hiding in the sleeves of mother's clothes.
Mana smiles. Nea smiles through his tears.
Allen is sleeping on a bed. "Did you wake up, Mana?"
Johnny (J: "Allen...!?"
Allen (A: "You're so mean... the both of you... even you, mother."
Allen's skin turns white.
J: "Allen!!"
Allen wakes up.
J: (His skin color...) "You turned back...!"
J: "Allen!? It's me, Johnny." (His skin color turned back, it turned back, it turned back)
J: "Do you understand me?"
A: "Johnny... Where am I?"
Johnny clamps onto Allen. "Good, good, goooood!!!"


J: "You were attacked by AKUMA and fled underneath a bridge, do you remember?"
J: "You collapsed there, Allen." *chatters* "Ah, don't worry, Kanda wiped out all the AKUMA!" *chatters* "Speaking of Kanda, where did he run off to...?"
Allen takes in a deep breath. Tim lands on his face.
A: "Timcanpy."
J: "I bought loads of sandwiches because I figured you'd want them once you woke up." Bought with Kanda's uniform. "You're gonna eat, right?"
A: "Somehow I'm... very thirsty...."
J: "Ah, of course. You were running all over town. It makes sense to be thirsty."
Johnny pours water into a cup and hands it to Allen. "Here you go!"
A throbbing pain in Allen's stomach. "Ouch..."
When Johnny rolls up Allen's shirt, there are wings coming out of Allen's stomach.
J: "Does it hurt...!? Of course it does!"
J: "You desperately fought the 14th with your Innocence, didn't you?"
J: "I'm truly sorry... for not noticing."
J: "Here." Johnny hands over the cup.
Allen takes it. "Thank you, Johnny."
J: (Ah, he finally smiled.) "Oh, that's right. I brought a painkiller!!"
J: "It's an injection though. I know you hate them~~~♪♪"
Johnny turns his back to Allen and looks through his bag. "Eeehm."
J: "Emergency set. My emergency set~~~"
Allen places his left hand on the side of Johnny's head. He slams Johnny's head into the wall.
A trail of blood is left on the wall. Johnny falls onto the bed.
Nea empties the glass. "Ah ----I still feel hazy...." *dizzy* "Uh...."
He looks at his reflection in the washroom mirror. "Whoa. What's with this face!? Complete white."
"......" "Eh~~~~~...." Looks bad at fighting. "Oh well... it's alright, I guess."
"!?"
He collapses because of dizziness.
"....." "Ha...." "...Thanks. Looks like there was an accident...."
"Well, it's a long project... those things happen."
"Alright then. What's the situation...?"
"Tiiiiiim." "Tell me about Allen."


A showdown between Kanda and Link under the moonlight.
Kanda sheathes Mugen. "I'll stab you to death the moment I decide you're untrustworthy. Remember that, damn watchdog."
Link (L: "You should return to the Order quickly."
L: "From your previous comments I can deduce that you once again obtained the Innocence in order for Allen's atonement."
L: "But now you've regained your Innocence, you should fulfill your role as one of God's disciples."
Kanda (K: "...*sigh*"
L: "You'll become a Fallen One if you push things too far."
L: "It'll be bothersome if Walker gets dragged into things because of you."
Kanda looks back over his shoulder. Link is already gone.
K: "Che."


Kanda returns to the room and holds out his hand towards the doorknob.
K: "....."
Kanda snaps his sword loose, violently opens the door and points Mugen to Allen's throat. Allen is sitting on the bed.
K: "14th?"


...A untimely chance encounter------!?

THIS CHAPTER MADE ME SO HAPPY~~! I'm sorry, but I can't help but type in caps with a bunch of smiley faces lying around XD I just loved this chapter... An entire 30-or-so pages, too~!

Love this Chapter too!
Though initial thought was that Neah & Mana's surname might be Campbell, but no.....:P
Uncle is 'Campbell' Mother married therefore Walker

But I haven't been in forums much to read discussions as I use to, however I have to tell someone somehwere, ANYWHERE cause it's been sitting on my mind forever!

DOES ANYONE REALIZE THAT THE 3RD PARTY THAT CROSS WAS TALKING ABOUT IS THE 14TH~?!
DO ANYONE EVEN REALIZE THAT ALLEN DOESN'T NEED TO BE THE ORDER, OR HAVE TO GO TO THE NOAH'S, THERE'S THE THIRD SIDE! THE 14TH SIDE (Like Cross)SIDED WITH.

(ignore me if you already know this...most people i guess)

Neah is not exactly a good-two-shoes, but neither the order (as it outwardly tries to be almightly and holy...), so i'm absolutely curious to find out what is Neah's intention (becoming the next millenium earl and then what?) and i do trust Cross' decisions, so there must be something about Neah which is not so bad? not bad enough? good for the world? i dunno.

Though judging by he way he treated Johnny, eerrrr.......awesome pokerface though.
Though i wonder if Allen and the 14th's conscience is sort of merged.......becuause for a moment there i thought his smile at johnny was genuine.

This just made my entire day super epic-ly happy.
And the chapter itself is awesome!
So, do you guys think Allen is gone (14th completely took over) or still somewhat there or... whatever else you guys are thinking?
And another question I have is do you think Johnny is dead or just mortally wounded? I believe/hope he is dead. That would make me very happy. It's not that I don't like him, it's just that SOMEONE needs to die.

Heh... Weird... One of my predictions for this chapter was that Allen would awaken as the fourteenth and at some point slam Johnny's head against that wall XD Pretty good guessing, neh? Also... Am I the only one that downloads every single chapter? I always end up rereading them, so I figure that I might as well save them to my computer...

Anyway... TikkiMikkFan, in response to your question about the 14th taking over, I don't think that Allen is completely gone- it would be hard to imagine the main character disappearing that easily. If anything, it seems as if he and Neah have switched places. Also, I doubt that Johnny is dead, no matter how much I wish he was XD It just doesn't seem... Dramatic enough? Usually, a character's death (or near-death experience) seems to have more of an impact on the series (meaning more panels are shown or it's more of a gruesome scene) than what happened to Johnny. Also, I don't think that impact would have necessarily killed him- it seems as if a coma is far more likely. Still... I could be wrong ^-^

What do you guys think happened to Mana to make him fall into a... Coma? Wow... There have been quite a few comas for different characters recently. Anyway, do you think that whatever happened to him was related to akuma/the Earl/The Noah/innocence? I could easily understand that happening, but then that means it's yet another thing for us to wait to find out more about. Not that that's necessarily a bad thing... Hoshino's cliffhanger just made me really anxious to find out what's next XD Speaking of cliffhangers... I'm pretty sure that Hoshino has mastered them x.x They're all so mean...

Heh. Little Neah was adorable, same goes to Mana. They make me want to hug them and feed them some cookies! I also find it interesting to finally find out what their mother looks like... So that's Allen's surrogate grandmother, I guess. She made me really want to find out who Allen's real parents are.

I have now confirmed that I like Allen's noah skin color the most... Like Neah said, "his face is so white" XD Which brings me to when the 14th was looking at his new body(?) in the mirror- It seemed like something that I would do (yes, the exact same facial expression) if I was put into another body. Also, what do you think the "accident" that Neah was speaking of on page 20 was, and what exactly do you think the project that he mentioned is? I personally can't wait to find out~!

Contrary to what Link brought up, I can't really imagine Kanda turning into a fallen one from following Allen like he has- it isn't exactly betraying his innocence, he just is not participating with the Order. It also seems as if in one with innocence doesn't necessarily have to work with the Order, or even agree with it for that matter, as long as the individual doesn't stray from their own path that they compromised with their Innocence. Not that we know what Kanda's path is, of course. Instead, at the rate Neah is going, I could imagine Allen turning into a fallen one if it continues like this.

What do you guys think will happen next, now that Kanda is aware of Neah's power over Allen's body? I could imagine him conjuring some elaborate lie that has Kanda believe that Allen is still in control, but I almost think that would be somewhat... boring. Also, Neah seems to be surprised when Kanda puts his sword up to Allen's neck- it's quite a refreshing sight XD Well... That's either surprise or anger... Seems like a bit of both.

Sorry for my horrible order and random statements, but my thoughts have been scattered excessively today XD My next post will hopefully be far more comprehensible.

Mana was sick? When? What happened? Was it 'Allen' right when he woke up or was that the 14th too? (I'm actually glad that the 14th slammed Jhonny's head to the wall, I was getting sick of him). Tim originally belonged to the 14th right? 'Kay, I'm going to go and read up all of D.gray-man from the beginning and come back with more answers than questions. I'll be back.

Heh... Have fun XD And in the beginning of the chapter, Neah is talking about how Mana might not wake up. I'm also pretty sure that it was the 14th when Allen woke up- I thought he was acting a little strangely, and it seems like there would've been more of a struggle had a switch in control happened. Also, yes, Tim originally belonged to the 14th, which is why Neah seemed so familiar with Tim while he was talking to him.
