Hopefully... but if Rhode is ok?? Why would she do that? Such a cruel trick... and not even something she can giggle at!

XDD I assume so too! But it could be a different religion... but I cant spell either of them and dont want to offend anyone! XD

oh come now, good ladies and lads.

rhode is NOT dead. she is the eldest noah and much too powerful. even tyki survived a round with the apocryphos so there's no way that rhode would perish from that one hit. he didn't even try to absorb her. rhode has many forms (she deteriorated after lavi "killed" her in his dream, right?) but that was just her physical manifestation. besides, hoshino doesn't run that way. unless you see an actual corpse (aka daisya berry, suman dark), there is no reason to suspect dead as a doornail dead.

cross is also NOT dead. though "judgment" has been disengaged from him, he still has "grave of maria" that will make him invisible. that dude is TOO clever to go out like that AND his body is missing. and remember what we learned. body missing = not dead.

kanda, even though almost everyone thought he was killed off, has been confirmed, as already established by rhode (on this forum, not the actual character lol) to return to the series by hoshino herself; given in an interview.

as for allen and lenalee fighting later on, it's possible. but since he didn't go with the noah, i don't think she has to consider him an enemy (i don't think she ever would anyway). the thing is, i don't know if she or the order knows that he didn't go with the noah. for all they know, he did. since rhode's form disappeared and tyki went after the apo, all lenalee saw was allen going into the gate. she may assume that the noah went in before him. i hope that the truth comes out sooner than later that he went off on his own and not with the noah. i think that when he does return, he will have gotten some answers about himself finally. i hope he can delve into timcanpy's memories since he used to belong to the 14th. since he won't use the ark (and therefore no access to the piano room/14th's room), he either has to go into tim's memories or go all the way back to where he started with mana and retrace his steps. if he does have to fight the order (though i think he will have to fight both the order AND the noah later), lenlaee will be too torn to do anything to him (he is a big part of her world, after all). hurting him would be too much in conflict of her view of what the world is. and allen...if he's still wholly allen, wouldn't lay a finger on her to harm her. it will be interesting to see that conflict between them both.

now, as allen is off "to find himself" maybe, at last, we'll get to see lavi's backstory (though i hope it's not nearly as convoluted as the kanda/alma arc - crazy stuff). hoshino did say she would reveal the reason why he wears that eyepatch and bookman knows WAY too many secrets we are unaware of. i'm looking forward to seeing more of that redhead since he's been such a rare sight these days.

and now i will address the whole lenalee/crybaby thing. yes, she did cry a WHOLE lot. it even got to me. but let's not forget that she didn't have much else to do. without her innocence, she was powerless against the noah and could only watch as her comrades were being pummeled to near death on a constant basis. she also felt that she was a burden because of this. can you imagine being in her shoes (her non-syncro'd shoes lol). and why was she stripped of her innocence? because she fought a level 3 akuma all.by.herself. no one else was able to do that until later on and that was allen with his fully realized crowned clown innocence. when jasdero and debitto had her trapped, she was defiant and actually clocked jasdero, schooling them in the ways of allen's inevitable win. when she was trapped in rhode's cube with chaoji, only able to watch as allen was being beaten down and lavi was being mind-raped, she nearly broke her legs trying to kick her way out. so did she cry the whole time? no. did she cry too much? probably.

you have to imagine what it's like for someone who considers her friends to be her world and being powerless to save them or even participate in doing your duty as an exorcist. would i cry? yes -- out of sheer frustration and guilt and regret and anger. all of those things. in the end, did she pull herself together? yes. she fully took on the mantle the innocence presented to her and it became a part of her, via her blood. that's pretty committed.

currently, she has lost kanda (as far as she knows). lavi and bookman are missing. and now, allen is gone. some of the biggest pieces of her world have fallen out from under her. i think "devastation" is putting it lightly. i hope that hoshino thinks of her more than just a character that relies on other characters in order to be whole. that would make her pretty one-dimensional and boring. anyway, i just wanted to put this out there because there's a lot of lenalee-hate (not that i don't understand why). but no one seems to remember all the ass-kicking she did prior to losing her power and after getting it back. you have to admit, without their innocence, lavi, kanda, and allen would have been just as ineffectual against the noah and akuma. kanda and lavi did their best in their efforts against the level 4 that attacked HQ but without their inncoence, they would have been killed if it wasn't for allen and lenalee (and later the generals stepping in).

*sigh* Lenalee is an issue. Yes, she's strong, and would be nice to meet. None of us really mind that she cries when she's desperate, it's just how frequently she finds herself in a desperate situation. Maybe it's Hoshino style? Like with Rouvier (spl), we saw him, got used to him being cruel and then she flipped it.
Maybe we'll soon see Lenalee being the only one not powerless in a deathly situation and she'll be awesome. But untill then, STFU LENALEE!! XDD

If Allen hadn't become an exorcist... if Lenalee's innocence wasn't responding the way it did... would the Earl have sent in the level 4? He has a reason for keeping the Order, remember? And Lavi or Bookman, or Krory (spl!!) or even miranda would have fought the level 3 - and seeing as they're main characters :P - would have won (maybe kill off one or two?)

anytime lenalee cries now, i just wanna slap hoshino because she's only adding fuel to the fire. but hey, if she can make the noah into soft cuddly teddy bears (which she is doing), she can prolly turn lenalee around. meh, i don't know, i see more tears in lenalee's future (man all the characters cry a lot in this, even the guys!) whether it's warranted or not so i think it will continue to be an issue with her.

the level 4 kinda just spawned/evolved during lulubell's raid so i don't know how purposeful that was. it was great for the noah, sure. it almost turned the tide. but as you mentioned (and as bookman said to lavi), the earl could have destroyed the order a hundred years ago but didn't. i think it has to do with the heart at this point. keeping the order alive meant multiplying the chances of finding it. then he could just come in and take it if the order was the one that found it first. the earl might consider them a resource for him as well in that way. i'm sure there are other reasons that he allowed them to survive but i don't know how far he's able to see in the future. apparently he wasn't able to see that the 14th would turn on him and try to kill him in recent years. unless hoshino is trying to say that anytime the 14th reincarnates, he tries to kill the earl but i don't see that either since we know that the 14th is only a recent phenomenon because they say he was never a part of the original noah clan (of 13).

as for taking on the level 3 (eshi). no one else could have done it and i think hoshino was purposeful in how she set up the battle. miranda cannot fight akuma directly. her innocence is for the sole purpose of renewal or keeping things static in time. she cannot use it to directly attack anything. krory/crowley would not have been able to get close enough to eshi to bite him becuase lenalee couldn't either seeing that eshi specialized in close combat fighting. after seeing how much it took for eshi to be killed (all that speed, power, and intensity), i don't know how effectual krory/crowley would have been. and lastly, lavi. not only did he already get pnwed by eshi on the deck of the ship, even lavi admitted that he couldn't fight on water like lenalee could. the level 3 eshi fight was suitable to lenalee only at that time (and obviously filled the plotline) so i think it would take more than being a main character to win that fight. each exorcist's innocence does have a unique quality about them and so they're pitted against foes for that reason. eshi and lenalee, kanda and skin bolic, krory and jasdebi, allen and everybody else LOL etc.

that's my 2cents :-)

nice sinamon ^^ yeah, just as rhode-chan said..best argument!! ahahah you really did sum up every detail in the previous chapters.

every exorcist in the order has a unique style of fighting . (only the gang) there are close combat fighters, (lenalee, kanda, allen, crowley/krory..gosh i got confused with the spl!) middle range fighters(lavi,bookman,allen, maybe kanda if he uses his illusions and lenalee ), and long ranged fighters(im not sure about these exorcists eheheh any ideas?)i only realized(just suddenly realized ) that only allen and lenalee can fight in diff areas..while the others are either stuck somewhere and at an disadvantage...(either with the area or with the enemy)..huh.. i forgot my own argument...ahahha

XDD Good points Sinamon! I won't bother arguing as my objections are weak to that!

And well, there arent really long ranged fighters? All an akuma has to do is stand a little bit closer and the exorcist would be useless! But I admit, Allen and Lenalee sure seem to have every good innocence for changes in torrane (spl). I suspect it's a main character thing for them to be able to fight when all is lost XD

Well, considering the thread title, what do you guys specifically want to see in chapter 206?

I'd like some fighting but another *shock!!* moment with something the appocrapper says to tyki mid-fight?

i want to get a clue as to where allen went. he can't use the gate to open a door to somewhere he's never been so he's going somewhere familiar. even if he's only in the chapter for a few panels, i'm dyign to know where he decided to go (many people think/hope he went to mater).

i'd also like to see what lenalee does after allen left but i have a feeling that we won't see her again for a while. i have this bad feeling in the pit of my stomach that she's going to be useless again for a while. this saddens me because i think she's an interesting character but it seems that she's been relegated to "only important when other characters are around" status.

SOOOO...i guess what i really think we'll see is a focus on lavi and bookman and what the hell they're doing. it's about time lavi gets his story told now. and we need to start learning some of the secrets that the old panda has been hiding this whole time!

You know, loads of people are saying that Allen must be going to Mater (not yet I say!) or Mana's grave! But we havent actually seen all the places he's been... with missions and also his travels with Cross! AND when Allen was in the circus! He's travelled further than I could guess, so why does it have to be any where that we already know of... Sure, it's got to mean something to Allen (like where Mana died, or where he first met Mana, or a circus, or his town of birth?)
Also, does his ability extend to where Neah has been? Maybe he will unconsiously select somewhere Allen wasn't aware of, that Neah suggested without Allen being able to acknowledge the thought as Neahs and prevent it? Influence, maybe?

And no, I doubt we'll see lenalee for a while. Last we saw, she was crying again. That's not half as entertaining as watching characters fight, even if it's a really bad fight. And anyway, Lenalee is a people person. People are her world. Why would she be important when no person is in danger or around?

I think it'd be dull to go straight to Lavi + Panda? I'd say that Tyki vs Appocrapper is better to see, then the appo guy says something which links to a cross cut to Lavi etc, whose in a worse state than before, and the Noah are pondering something we havent heard.
