chapter 206 is the august issue. they are released the month prior to the date of the issue. so the september issue is going to be released on august 4th. one more month for the next one! :-)

Woah! This chapter brought me to tears int he end. why? I don't really know... maybe because I had ejoyed the 'Papa' Cross scenes, and everything and then kabaaaam Allen is there, and it was just a brilliant way to show us where he went and this place is going to be so full of secrets! *Can't wait*

The chapter was great, full of mystery. However, I don't think I fully understood what was going on

Maybe I'm just overanalyzing, as I tend to, or if everyone is feel as clueless as me when it comes to where he went and the old woman's and Cross' relationship to the 14th.

mother and baba are from the REVERSE novels but they were also in the anime (in a filler ep). honestly, i don't recall if they were in the manga before chapter 206....i don't think they were (someone correct me if i'm wrong). so this is the first time we're seeing them here but she's already been established in a way.

mother is a long-time supporter of the Order (like Anita was - minus the romance with cross, let's hope...ew) and is a font of secrets/info since cross has apparently shared a lot with her, or she has somehow found out using her own connections. allen made a good choice to come and see her. besides cross himself, she is the best source at his reach.

as for cross and mother's relationship to the 14th, i don't think mother has had any direct dealings with the 14th herself. most of what she knows seems to come from what cross shared with her. but cross has had contact with neah, obviously. they made that deal with each other of cross watching over mana and, in return, neah would come back. it seems that cross is all for that enthusiastically. a general in the order WANTS a noah to be reborn...says a LOT. of course, initially, that started out as the motivation to keep allen safe since he's the vessel for neah's return but somewhere along the way, cross started to care for the boy and became torn about losing allen as the price for neah's return. cross' line of: "do you always have to sacrifice something in order to protect something else?" really is meaningful. this is the "other side of the war" that cross might be referring to...the side where only a few seem to know the real motivation of neah and how he will affect the conflict between the Order and the Exorcists.

When I saw the title for this chapter, I thought it was one of those random, unconnected side stories that some mangas do when they cant think up what to do next. I was interested, but annoyed that Allen wouldn't come into it.. then you can guess my reaction... at an unthinkable hour and everyone was asleep.

I cant remember them in the manga, but you're right in saying how they appeared in the anime. Who would have guessed Allen'd go there, when we thought they were just fillers? Of course, everything's obvious with hinesight (spl).

Allen just gained another level of awe and respect from me (I hadnt ever considered how he'd have reacted straight after Mana's death).
Cross... well, everything makes sense now! How much more awesome he has become (somehow) and even more realistic?

and Sinamon, your line of "other side of the war" that cross might be referring to...the side where only a few seem to know the real motivation of neah and how he will affect the conflict between the Order and the Exorcists - I objected once reading it, but I'm begining to think that though.. Yet I still feel that we're an inch from one more truth that'll combine with the knowledge from this chapter to form this other side of the war.

i think cross' expression is not necessarily from the words allen said but the very fact that allen started speaking like mana -- that was more than enough to make cross disturbed.
