I think there's a mark under Lavi's eye-patch that makes him able to be a Bookman. Strange, I know, but Bookman has black makeup around his eyes, so maybe he's hiding his mark that way.

Has anyone ever though about the chance Lavi might move onto his 50th name during the manga? I imagine that he might fight against it and choose to remain Lavi. Or would he continue to be a bookman and leave everyone?

I think my favourite Lavi moment is when Road enters his mind. I love the interaction betwen the "real" Lavi and the "dream" Lavi and how he comes face to face with the fact that his "emotional barriers" have been crumbling during his stay at the Order.

I also love the bit with Lavi braiding Kanda's hair!

To be honest, I don't think I could imagine Lavi moving on to his 50th persona during the manga. I think it would be too abrupt (for lack of a better word). To me, it would seem too soon, like the history recorded under "Lavi" would be unfinished somehow. Albeit, I'm not entirely certain that it would matter as long as the true history is recorded.

Having said that, the job of the Bookman clan is to record an unbiased and true history, so arguably, if Bookman thinks that Lavi is getting too attached to his friends at the Order, he may think moving on to Lavi's 50th persona would help rid him of any attachments. In this sense, he'd be starting afresh, free of attachments. Nevertheless, that would most likely mean they'd have to ally themselves to some other party --which is why I think that discarding Lavi at the moment would be unlikely; the history recorded with the order may be ultimately left incomplete.

All in all, I'm not entirely sure whether or not he'll stay with the Order or leave with Bookman. I'm kind of leaning towards the former, but that's because I don't want him to leave!

And I hope Lavi is going to be okay in the recent goings on in the manga, too!
