I love Lenalee because she used to have long hair like me. So I could relate to her that way. When I feel upset, I think of Lenalee crying and start crying harder<---sounds stupid, huh? She's strong and is inspired by my favorite character and that kept her going. I like because she admits that she needs a shoulder to lay on at points. She cries when she's sad. She doesn't bottle it up...

Cause Lenalee is strong for a girl. I mean, other girls would probably be screaming in fear if they had to do that kind of job for so many years. And she doesn't give up easily. Like when she was fighting Eshi, and the level 4. A strong heart for a strong exorcist. Okay, I'm starting to not make sense... >"<

I suppose I should answer the question myself. Lenalee reminds me of myself in certain ways, mostly when it comes to how she feels about her family and friends. But that's not why I like her, at least not the big reason. I really like her because she's real. She's not like a perfect character with no flaws like you see in other manga series, and I also think that's why a lot of people don't like her. Apparently, for a female character to be a "good" one, they have to kick butt all the time. They can't have weak moments or cry or they're called useless. Lenalee kicks her fair share of butt, and when she does it, she kicks hard. But you can't be a butt-kicking machine all the time, or you wear down. Lenalee has her flaws. She has her moments where she breaks down. But she works through it in any way that she can so she can be there for the people she loves. She's real. That's why she's awesome.
