What do you prefer?
I'd go with mac, since you can operate most windows applications on it anyway, plus, its system is formatted for better editing of pictures, videos, or any multimedia for that matter.

You can breath, but the air is running out.
I have a HP Media Center PC
Which Runs Mac OS X Leopard on it and Windows Vista Ultimate. I say. I prefer using Leopard. I only use windows when im editing my AMVs on sony vegas.
I prefer normal PC. But I've never had a Mac, so I don't really have the right to say anything. The only thing I know is that there are more people changing from Mac to PC than the other way. I had to check, because I was going to buy a new computer (which I bought a few weeks ago), and thuogh Mac was tempting, some games only work on windows. and I really love to play games
But still, I have many problems with this computer. I try to install games, and I always get an error... stupid HP. Maybe i should have bought Dell instead.
All I do is edit pictures, make AMVs, and such. :]
Plus, you can open lie 827487 widows at once with a Mac and still run the system smoothly.

PC all the way...why ? just because![]()
"All your Cheese are belong to us !"
PC/Windows. Mac's sole use is for Media related programs.
Just about everything else it phails at horribly. "Hey Mac played any good games lately?"
From what I can tell, the games that do make it to Mac are of a much lower quality than those for PC. Specifically Age of Empires III. On Mac I feel like I'm playing AOE I with the lag of having more than 50 troops you don't see on the PC version.
Besides. there are programs out for Windows that are just as good as any from Mac, and many from Mac that are popular have a similar or sometimes better quality of Media programs. You have to look around a bit to find a good one but they are out there. I STILL use Mediastudio Pro, because it doesn't crash like Imovie tends to do if you have too many other programs running, (like 3-5 internet windows) That and the Mac version of Audacity: Blows. Major. Chunks. Unless you love having your sved work that takes you 10 hours corrupted every few times you edit that file and overwrite it every three times or so. Though given a few other Mac programs doing the same thing, maybe the 50+ different imacs and emacs I've ever used are defective... :/
Which reminds me. Safari is probably the worst web browser ever to disgrace the world of technology in my opinion. Seriously, IE5 is better than the current version. Don't even bother embarrassing Mac users by comparing it with Firefox.
Next, virus protection. I always find the mac ads adorable and pathetic. Seriously, what virus protections do macs have? Norton Anti-virus that's equivalent to a 98 windows version?
Nobody cares about macs and their content. Almost all major data or files and security/corporation systems run on windows, not to mention PC outnumbers mac like 100 to 1 or more possibly. I'd have to check but I'm positive is more than even that. But I'll put money down that Mac users would see ten times the amount of viruses with their piddly "internal programming" that protects you computer. Which is a complete lie if you come across anything even considered a mild/low threat according to the Windows threat level ratings.
Don't believe me? Well than maybe the 4-5 to 1 ratio of virus per computer of Mac to PCs points that out. The data is outdated true (from 2004 or 2005 can't recall which), but either the average Mac users are very very careless, think their comp can't be touched until their hard drive gets mauled, or the entire mac lab gets raped by a trojan like happened at my old high school, since Safari's detection system thinks electronic versions of a bipolar psychopath are harmless.
All in all, if you're using a mac, maybe you should look into getting those bulky 300 MB pre-installed add-ons that just happen to be from major computer protection companies that come with PCs at no cost. Hmmm...
Yes, as you can tell I'm definately not a fan of Macs. I was a major user of them when Macintosh was pwnage. But when Windows 3.1 came out... Mac bit the dust hard. So, now Steve Jobs thinks stereotyping PC comps is going to up Mac salesMaybe it's because he got a ring of death on his 360 while getting owned in Halo, rofl. But to be honest, if Mac did come out with something better than Windows had to offer, (which Mac doesn't have anything of equivalence of XP yet) I'd consider going Mac. But when I DO use Mac for Business and School work... Powerpoint anyone?
Well, I prefer Mac.. Cause it takes lesser time to start up than a PC... Though it's harder to find programs that work in Mac since less people use Mac.. But the advantage is that we don't need to waste money on buying anti-virus software.. I don't play any computer games (I keep getting lost in those games... XD) so that's not a problem for me.
I prefer a PC, cause I spend some of my time playing games, and PC is the better system for it.
