XD Same here... although Vista doesn't really lag on switching out programs except for the games. ._.

EDIT: I get caught half the time by switching out with the tab button. XD

XD I don't play any games (cause it's so easy for me to get lost in them)... So that won't really bother me..

I really hate vista, XP is so much better...
Well, vista professional isn't too bad, but the home edition really sucks badly

Home Edition is the "bare-bones" version. Vista Ultimate is just... amazing compared to XP. It runs smoothly to the extent that you can actually tell the difference between XP and Vista. Far fewer programs closing on you unannounced by a wide margin. Not to mention all the other add-ons Ultimate has that Home and Pro don't. It's worth a look into in my opinion.

I just checked out the new Vista at the "Mojave" experiment domain. It looks good, but it's still packed with loads of crap.

Vista takes almost twice as long to defragment compared to XP.

XP took time to work out the bugs, a year or so, and people were saying it was the next ME, *shudders*. But they worked out the flaws and it became the best operating system available. Vista is already better than XP in several manners. Once the major updates start coming out it will be worthwhile enough to get a new computer with it.

Defragmenting has nothing to do with bugs, it's disk space.
Since Vista comes overloaded with so much stuff it takes a lot of time to go through it.
My sister has an Acer with Vista and it took eight days to defragment her computer.

If the efficiency in being able to more quickly defragment the disk by fixing any flaws that hinder the ease in doing so it may. Processor rate does factor into this, so that may or may not explain it.

If you want to add processor rate to the equation, My computer, on XP, has only 512 mb of RAM.
Vista is pretty and flashy, but it has too much crap. Plus, you have to have a Vista driver for so many programs.

I have XP, but I have heard a lot of good things about Vista. As long as it has Google Chrome it doesn't matter
