    XP all the way.

Vista not only is a copy from some Linux OS versions, but also fails as a copy. The problem with Vista is that consumes a lot of RAM resources due to the innumerable and unnecessary processes it's running all the time only to make it look "pretty". Not only that, but also the code of that program it's filled of flaws, which makes programs crash all the time.... which leads the people who knows nothing about computer to keep buying the next version only because the company says that it's "bugs-free"... meh

Vista is nothing but a newer version of Windows ME (which failed back then when it was released) so... XP ftw

EDIT: And actually... Linux ftw XD

Hmmm...I actually prefer Vista to be honest.

At first I admit I loathed it with a passion, but meh it grows on you after awhile.

I also use vista, or actually, I use both xp and vista. Vista is fancy, but it turns my new computer into crap. Sometimes, when I turn the computer on it says "Windows has discovered somethingsomething and has to close." And then I have to start the computer all over again.

I've never really had problems with xp. I've had some problems with installing, but that is because the computer was too old.

I hate Vista. I bought a new laptop, kept it for a while then had to go back to using my old one so that i could actually do my university work. Even though it was a brand new laptop, it was lagging like nothing I've seen before and coming up with all sorts of errors.

I definately like XP more, it's simpler and if it lets me finish assignments then it's all good with me.

For me, XP is more friendly user that VISTA, because the XP is easy to configure when it comes in development use. XP is the OS I used while I'm studying so I'm more familiar. And Vista is very slow to load all start up programs and have a high specs of PC to perform it according to your expectation.
