Hehe, funny this thread was opened in 2009 and I'm writing in almost 2012. I don't think the forum is dying, it's just a slow forum, slow, long manga, long anime, slow fans...but hey, not dying yet

I'm a new member!!! Its not dead yet. They still have the anime on funimation occasionally. Thats how I got hooked. There was a good bit of replies to my first post anyhow so maybe people just dont know what to post to start a new thread. I havent been a member for long though (hence this is only my 4th post) so I dont know how it used to be... Just trying to be optimistic.

WE WILL SURVIVE!!~ just wait till the manga is at it's best again we'll all come back from day-dream land and be blastin this forum with questions, theories and happy/ sad thoughts once again. so for now all we need to do is strap ourselves in and get ready for a long ride, but hey, we'll get there someday.

I guess I am a little late to the D-Gray Man fanbase, but judging from what I have seen this site has probable suffered loss of traffic due to the Anime being discontinued/ half it not being dubbed (Though that wont stop the true fans) Also, it probably does not help that the manga (that is to say the entire series) gets put on hiatus frequently.
It probably deters fans who have been waiting for long periods of time, while remaining responsibility's such as work and school may also pull users away. (I just started-and finished- the series last week, so I am still on a D gray man high at this point)
