yeah japan was a closen territory, and when chome told them that i thought of kanda, he is japanese or not? how did he escape, or if he wasn't born in japan then he should have someone who new about the conditions in japan or not, and then agree with you, the pope is a young man mybe a handsome one?

Well look at it this way:

1. the Church is a bureaucracy and the Pope does probably have a lot of other non-Exorcist related duties..

2. The general public seems to not have any knowledge of the war with e Earl (look at any civillian character that appears in the series)...

3. There are politics to consider...I mean after WWI, Hitler got away wi flat out violating many of the restrictions set forth at the war's end. So just because someone is obviously doing wrong does not mean every country in the world will band together against them...

4. The Earl obviously has some influence in at least some countries. Look at Cyril Kamelot; he's important enough to be present during the signing of a treaty. Having your mortal enemy playing in international politics severely complicates trying to get other countries to ally themselves with you...

5. The Order is pretty functional given their enemy. They have a branch in China/Asia, North America, Europe and Oceania (think Australia, New Zealand, etc). Plus they have enough money to conduct massive amounts of research and development as well as what seems to be extensive, multigenerational experimentation...
