| As we know, the Earl has the power to destroy the Order long ago, as demonstrated by the attack of Lulu Bell and the Level 4 akuma. After all, the Black Order is such a small organisation as compared to that of the Earl's "army". This fact has been acknowledged by Bookman in the manga, and Allen in the anime. (I think Bookman said that in the manga, right?) So I was just wondering. Is there a specific reason why the Earl does not destroy this organisation, that is his enemy? Is it because he is making use of the Order to seek out the Heart, seeing that having both sides fight to find the Heart would be much faster as the Heart would definitely slip up in his/her attempt to hide the truth? And he's certain that more people on the side of the Order will die and his side will definitely win, so he's keeping the Order until he achieves his goal? |

| Senior Member | I think that the Earl thinks the Organization can't really do anything to stop him because they have nothing really against him and his grand plan. Of course, this is me speculating. I don't think in the beginning that he was going to suspect that the 14th would appear after all those years. There are so many surprises that the Exorcists had pulled out from their sleeves from sheer luck. Allen being the one with implanted memories of being the 14th was ironic and nothing in the Earl's plan had been planning for that. I think that the Earl did not think anything could stop him while he had the chance to because he thought that they would not be able to stop him. I also agree on the Heart thing. It might be possible that the Earl is using the Exorcist as a means of looking for it. If he was able to destroy their Headquarters, I'm sure he can get the Heart just as efficently. Heh... I have no idea if any of that made sense. -.- |

| Did he know where the HQ was? I'm not sure he did. Maybe the only reason he was able to attack HQ was because the egg was there, and he knew the location of the egg.

| Well, it is quite possible that the Earl knew where HQ was located. Maybe the reason why he didn't attack was because he didn't have enough Akuma? It takes a long time building up an army like the one that attacked HQ, and how many hundred lv 3 akuma's were there?

| Well... This a war. The Earl must have weighed the pros and cons and decided it was not worth the effort since he can crush them at any time. He must have wanted to use them in his search for the Heart while observing their strength. As for the Noahs, he must have already assigned or positioned to tasks which is suited to their abilities like Sheryll. |
